Our wholesale program is available to approved businesses that intend to stock and resell Marzipan Jewellery products. By applying for and placing wholesale orders, you confirm that you are purchasing for resale purposes and not for personal use.

While we value long-term, collaborative relationships with our wholesale partners, Marzipan Jewellery reserves the right to approve, suspend, or revoke wholesale access at our sole discretion. This helps ensure our jewellery is represented by partners who align with our values, pricing integrity, and commitment to quality.

Wholesale Eligibility & Access

Wholesale access is granted to businesses that have been approved by Marzipan Jewellery. Approval is based on suitability, alignment, and intent to stock and sell our products.

Wholesale orders may only be placed by approved wholesale customers. Misuse of wholesale pricing or access may result in suspension or removal from the program.

Marzipan Jewellery partners have access to Marzipan Jewellery photos, Wholesale Catalogue and Price List & Order Form from the Marzipan Google Drive file, available here:

The Wholesale Catalogue and Price List & Order Form files are intended for approved wholesale customers only. Please do not share access to these documents with anyone who has not been granted direct access by a Marzipan Jewellery representative.

Social Media and Marketing

Photos provided may be downloaded and used on your business website, social media pages and for any other marketing purposes, within the intent to stock and resell Marzipan Jewellery products.

Minimum Order Value

The current minimum wholesale order value is R5,000.

While we do not strictly enforce this minimum in every instance, we trust that our wholesale partners will honour it in good faith as part of a respectful working relationship.

Pricing & Recommended Retail Price (RRP)

Marzipan Jewellery recommends a minimum of 100% markup on all wholesale items.

This pricing structure:

• Ensures consistency across retail channels
• Protects wholesale partners from direct competition with Marzipan Jewellery’s own retail pricing
• Supports a fair and sustainable business model for all parties

Wholesale partners may choose to price above the recommended markup, particularly where value-added services (such as premiums on imported goods, styling, packaging, or in-store experiences) are offered. This is done at the partner’s discretion and risk.

Ordering Process

To keep ordering simple and transparent, wholesale orders follow the process below:

1. Place your order

Approved wholesale partners place their order by sending a filled-out copy of the order sheet (available to download from the Marzipan Jewellery Google Drive) to info@maripan.co.za

2. Cost Estimate

A Cost Estimate, including shipping costs, will be generated and sent to you for approval.

3. Payment

Once the Cost Estimate has been approved, we require 50% Deposit or Full Payment in order to start production and secure your order in our production cycle.

4. Order Confirmation & Production

Once a 50% Deposit or Full Payment has been received and cleared, your order is confirmed and placed into production.

Wholesale production typically takes 4–6 weeks.

You’ll receive updates as your order moves through the different stages of production.

5. Final Invoice & Payment

When your order is ready for dispatch, we will issue a final invoice for the remaining 50% balance and any changes or updates made to your order.

6. Dispatch

Orders are dispatched once the final balance has been received in full.

Order Processing & Production Time

Marzipan Jewellery products are slow-made, handcrafted, produced in small batches and made to order.

Typical lead time: 3-6 weeks from payment confirmation.

In some cases: an additional lead time of up to 2 weeks may apply if certain components are delayed, particularly where materials are sourced internationally. We will always communicate any delays with you promptly.  We may at times offer an option to split your order, this entails delivering items that are ready while completing the balance of the order.

Large or custom wholesale orders may require additional production time. Estimated timelines will be communicated at order confirmation.

Stock Availability & Materials

Due to the handmade and small-batch nature of Marzipan Jewellery, the availability of certain beads, gemstones, or components may vary from time to time.

Where a specific component is temporarily unavailable, Marzipan Jewellery reserves the right to substitute components with suitable alternatives of a similar quality, colour, size, and character, without prior notice, provided that the substitution does not materially alter the overall design, aesthetic, or intended look of the jewellery item.

These substitutions are made with care and intention, and always with the aim of maintaining the integrity, quality, and recognisable style of Marzipan Jewellery.

In cases where a suitable substitution is not possible, or where a change would meaningfully affect the design, we will contact you to discuss available options or revised timelines.

Shipping & Delivery

Wholesale shipping is governed by Marzipan Jewellery’s Shipping Policy, which applies to both retail and wholesale orders.

Shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer.

Shipping costs are calculated on Cost Estimate and may change if changes are made to the order during production.

Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary based on location and courier performance.

International Wholesale Orders

We are happy to ship wholesale orders internationally.

Any customs duties, import taxes, or handling fees are the responsibility of the buyer.

Please let us know if you would like us to include the customs duties and import taxes for your order upfront. This keeps the costs transparent and can avoid customs delays.

Orders refused due to unpaid customs fees are not eligible for refund.

We recommend checking your country’s import regulations before placing an order.

Freight Forwarding Addresses

International wholesale partners who make use of freight forwarding services are responsible for ensuring that the correct freight forwarding delivery address is provided.

Please ensure that the delivery address used when placing your order exactly matches the address provided by your freight forwarding agency on their official website or account documentation.

Marzipan Jewellery cannot be held responsible for delays, lost shipments, or additional costs resulting from incorrect or incomplete delivery addresses supplied at the time of ordering.

If you are unsure which address to use, we recommend confirming the details with your freight forwarding provider before placing your order.

Responsibility After Delivery to Freight Forwarders

Where a freight forwarding service is used, responsibility for the shipment transfers to the buyer once the parcel has been successfully delivered to the freight forwarding provider’s address.

Marzipan Jewellery cannot be held responsible for loss, damage, delays, or misrouting that may occur after the shipment has been received by the freight forwarding company.

Wholesale partners are encouraged to work with reputable freight forwarding providers and to ensure their forwarding account details are accurate before placing an order.

Returns, Refunds & Damaged Items

Wholesale orders are considered final sale and are not eligible for returns or refunds, except in cases where items are received damaged, defective, or incorrect.

This is in line with our Refund & Return Policy and standard wholesale practice.

If a wholesale order arrives damaged or incorrect:

• Please notify us within 48 hours of delivery
• Email info@marzipan.co.za with your order number and clear photographs of the issue
• Approved claims will be handled in line with our Refund & Return Policy and may result in a replacement or store credit, depending on availability.

Custom Wholesale Orders

Custom wholesale orders are welcome and quoted on request.

Custom orders may incur upfront design and material sourcing fees.

Custom orders may require additional lead time.

Once production has begun, any changes may incur additional costs and delays.

Custom and made-to-order wholesale items are non-returnable unless faulty.

Order Cancellations

Wholesale orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of ordering, provided production has not yet begun.

After this time, cancellations may be subject to a cancellation fee depending on the production stage.

Force Majeure

Marzipan Jewellery cannot be held responsible for delays or failure to fulfil orders due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:

Natural disasters

Courier disruptions

Supplier delays

Customs or regulatory delays

Communication

We aim to keep all wholesale partners informed throughout the order process.

Please ensure your contact details are accurate and up to date when placing your order. Delays caused by incorrect or incomplete information are outside of our control.

Intellectual Property

All designs, product images, and materials provided by Marzipan Jewellery remain the intellectual property of Marzipan Jewellery.

These may not be copied, reproduced, distributed or used outside of the intended use, without prior written permission.

Agreement to Terms

By placing a wholesale order with Marzipan Jewellery, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Wholesale Terms & Conditions, as well as our Shipping Policy and Refund & Return Policy, which form part of this agreement.
