Shipping policy
At Marzipan Jewellery, each piece is slow-made with care in our studio in South Africa. Below you’ll find everything you need to know about how and when your order will be shipped.
1. Order Processing Time
Marzipan Jewellery pieces are either in stock, made to order, or produced in small handcrafted batches.
- In-stock items: processed and dispatched within 2–5 business days after payment is received
- Made-to-order and out-of-stock items: have a lead time of 4–6 weeks before dispatch
- During peak periods or launches, processing times may be slightly longer
- You will receive a confirmation email once your order has been shipped
Business days exclude weekends and South African public holidays.
2. Shipping Within South Africa
We ship nationwide within South Africa using trusted courier partners.
- Standard delivery: 2–5 business days after dispatch
- Shipping costs are calculated at checkout or displayed clearly before payment
- Delivery times are estimates and may vary depending on your location
Please ensure your delivery address and contact details are correct. Marzipan Jewellery cannot be held responsible for delays caused by incorrect or incomplete information.
3. International Shipping
We offer international shipping to selected destinations.
- International delivery times typically range between 7–21 business days after dispatch
- Shipping costs are calculated at checkout
- Delivery times may vary due to customs clearance and local courier services
International orders are shipped on a Delivered At Place (DAP) basis.
This means:
- Customers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, or handling fees charged by their country
- Marzipan Jewellery has no control over these charges and cannot predict their amount
4. Customs, Duties & Taxes (International Orders)
Customs policies vary widely by country.
- Any duties, taxes, or customs fees incurred are the responsibility of the customer
- Delays caused by customs clearance are outside of our control
- Orders refused due to unpaid customs fees are not eligible for refund
5. Delivery Delays
While we do our best to ensure timely delivery, delays can occasionally occur due to:
- Courier service disruptions
- Weather conditions
- Customs inspections
- Peak shopping periods
Marzipan Jewellery is not responsible for delays once an order has been handed over to the courier.
6. Incorrect or Undeliverable Addresses
If a parcel is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address:
- The customer will be responsible for any additional shipping fees
- Orders will be re-shipped only once updated delivery details are provided
7. Lost or Stolen Parcels
Once an order has been marked as delivered by the courier, responsibility for the parcel transfers to the customer.
If you believe your parcel has been lost in transit, please contact us as soon as possible so we can assist with a courier investigation.
Marzipan Jewellery cannot replace or refund orders marked as delivered.
8. Damaged Parcels
If your order arrives damaged, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery.
